Audience Reviews for Divine Emanuelle Love Cult
Love Camp is sometimes misleadingly referred to as Divine Emanuelle - Love Cult because Laura Gemser is in it, but she does not play that character here. Instead she is referred to only as 'The Divine One' and oversees a crazy collection of followers who dig white robes, sex on demand, and terrible music. Definitely some entertainment value here, even David Koresh would be leery about the practices of this cult. They "rent out" their women in exchange for donations, hold whippings to absolve sinners against their laws, and virgins are roughly deflowered by a hilariously grimacing Hercules in a public ceremony. My favorite moment happens when a lavish feast in honor for the Divine One is prepared, and when the dinner horn sounds the first thing everyone does is kick over the tables! It immediately becomes a free-for-all, although I don't know who'd want to eat those furry kebabs. Lots of attractive women, and what needs to be said about Gemser besides "wow" with at least 5 undressings. Oh, there are subplots involving an undercover policeman, and a politician's daughter enamored with the Bo Duke-wannabe cult leader. Good slightly dirty fun.
