Remember when Inglorious Basterds was a Where Eagles Dare style men-on-a-mission WWII film starring Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis? The point is, you can't really trust early reports on Tarantino films. I'll wait for the trailer.

When Inglourious Basterds was actually done in the script stages and was prepping for production, I remember Tarantino going around specifically saying it was not going to be an action movie like most people expected, and that 70% of the movie would not even be in English, so I knew what I was getting into from the get go. I personally think the first trailer for Basterds made it look more like an action movie than the drama it really was.

The IB trailer was totally misleading, but I understand why you have to cut a trailer like that. You need to put people in the seats and action is going to do it.

Regardless, IB was an amazing film. Unlike anything I've ever seen.

Interesting to hear, DiCaprio is usually great and he works with some of the best directors in Hollywood today. Also, wasn't Leo supposed to play Landa in IB? That could have been interesting altough Waltz was the man for that film.
