Homeland gets an erratic and inconsistent second season that was nowhere as good as the first season, yet it keeps sweeping awards shows for no other reasons than for it to about the government fighting terrorists. Great show, but vastly overrated. Game Change is also a overrated TV movie that's nowhere near the quality of both Hatfileds & McCoys and Sherlock. It just wins because it's based on politicis and because Ed Harris and Julianne Moore gave great performances. After suffering that huge snub at the hands of the Academy, Ben Affleck and his film Argo have begun to sweep awards ceremonies left and right. Perhaps they will give him the Best Picture Oscar as consolation for being wrongfully snubbed. I'm happy for Argo and Affleck, but I want Spielberg and Lincoln to win come Oscar night.

A few weeks ago everyone was screaming for this movie needs to get more recognition...now that it is, it's overrated. I think it deserves everything it's getting. As a full package, I think it was the best movie of last year.

I got this impression from the first time I watched this movie (that it was overrated). Not that my impression ever changed.

Argo is Anti-Iran and racist, shows iranians as browny raged full of hate people, putting that aside the film itself is not that great i liked the production design, comparing it to last years Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy which is another 70's spy film it misrabley fails, and its simple direction and story telling doesn't make it an amazing thriller either, But america and israel are having problems with Iran these days So i guess Hollywood had to deliver a film at the right time to brain wash and "" help the peace cause"".

Sherlock is a mini-series of 3 1.5-hour (w/o commercials) episodes a season, and the two seasons so far were released two years apart. I'd call that long-form.
