not everybody would find the film attractive. but i did. horror and horror sequences are slowly becoming ways to analyze specific moments in history. this film is something like that. it uses elements of horror to understand french colonial experience. the film is very well made that way. but the djinn sequences are not good enough. i wish the director had not shown the ominous beings.
One of the good French movies I have seen. Even though it gets boring at times, it presents somehow original story which is realized through good acting and directing. I certainly don't regret I saw this movie.
