If anything, it's underrated. None of my friends have heard of it even though I think it's an utterly brilliant film.

Agreed with the previous comment. Overrated would be something like Scarface, an okay movie whose presence as a pop culture institution is rather annoying, but not a movie that most people seem to have forgotten about.

The only reason why i watched this film was because by sheer chance the dvd happened to be in a bookshelf an ex house mate left over. Noone told me to watch it and i definitely hadnt heard of the movie until then. Upon watching it i felt confused and dazed because the movie was so incredible and al pacino was so brilliiant but noone had ever told me about it. Surely if it was overrated then i wouldve at least heard of it.
