When I write the "Cookie Awards" in my annual Oscar-season column for the Quad-City Times, I always include this category: Most Embarrassing Crying Spell. There is no question which movie will 'win' the award. I bawled when I watched 'Dolphin Tale.'
I am the BIGGEST sucker for a "feel good" movie...the cheesier the better...but THIS was beyond the pale. Horrific...within the first 20 ;minutes, I could tell you every plot and subplot in the film, it was THAT predictable. It have every cliche known to mankind, or should I say moviekind. I expected Judy Garland and Micky Rooney to pop up and say, "Gee kids, let's put on a show to raise the money." LOL...it was also amazing that after he said, "I'm sorry, I'm out of money, we'll have to close," the next thing we see is them setting up the Ringling Brothers circus in the parking lot LOLOL.And then...of course, "Mr. Mean Developer" comes to his senses and saves the day.
