House Of Wax??? Nah I'm just kidding but i expected House on Haunted Hill, thought that would be an obvious one.

What about the house in The Grudge? It's a great place for people who like kids, cats, and throaty rattling sounds on the phone. Even if you move out due to dissatisfaction - as a result of homicidal specters maybe - you can rest assured that a piece of the house will stay w/ you forever (or at least for as long as it takes for the local curse to drag you to hell).

Hill House, the original and the Remake, The Mansion in The Innocents and of course the house of "13 Ghosts"(I liked the remake) I hear there is an abandoned amusement park on the lake, (Carnival of Souls) and yes, The Haunting is a winner.

I normally enjoy the RT lists, but this one...meh. Really? You guys put Casper on a list titled "Ten houses to die for"?
And Paranormal Activity? It didn't feature a haunted house, it featured a haunted person. That was the point behind both films..Katie and her family were the focus of the haunting..the demon would have shown up wherever they were.
I agree with an earlier poster-where was the Legend of Hell House? How about Burnt Offerings?

Paranormal Activity seems like a week inclusion, since it wasn't the house that was haunted, no? Unless the threat of living in that house is that you might be bored to death...
