Oliver Stone wanted to make the movie exciting and keep it interesting. He didn't say everything was true. The film was amazing and Val Kilmer was excellent in every second.

The film "proves" nothing because it's all crap. The guy read Shelley and Yeats, for pete's sake. Nothing like Stone's reptile-brained sociopath. I hope his family sued.
