While it is true that quintessential Sixties rock band The Doors continued to record and release music after front guru Jim Morrison's death in 1971, most fans would passionately maintain that it doesn't really "count." For it was that leather clad cross between a mystic poet and a bad boy who personified the psychedelic, transcendental rebellion of The Doors' sound. 1971's L.A. WOMAN was recorded very shortly before Morrison's death from a drug overdose. Featuring some lesser known but still legendary hits including the spiritual epic, "Riders On The Storm," the album remains a classic of counterculture America. Re-released here on the high quality sound technology of DVD-Audio, the album gets its full due. [More]
