Reviews for Double Whammy
Tries too hard, forcing off-the-wall dialogue where it doesn't belong.
Perhaps if DiCillo's last two pictures weren't so clever, Double Whammy would stand on its individual merits a little more stably.
Despite some funny visual gags, this is one of DiCillo's disappointing comedies, also suffering from an unappealing turn from Elizabeth Hurley.
It doesn't always mesh perfectly, but DiCillo is working with a broad palette and his ability to mix comedy and drama is shown at full effect.
