Critic Review - Independent

The moral grey area of the title perhaps worked better in the stage play; exposed on screen it's not "doubt" being expressed, it's the sound of Streep's headmistressy voice demanding, "That Oscar - on my desk, NOW."

Ha ha ha to your silly review. You are perhaps one of Winslet fan boys out there. You should not even be writing here. Meryl Streep is fascinating in Doubt, while Kate Winslet is Oscar begging in The Reader. Please, please give me an Oscar. Dou you want an Oscar, Kate Winslet?" "Hell yeah, You bet your ****ing *** I do"

Quick, give the lady her oscar! This review gave me something to smile about. I can picture Streep barking all sorts of orders in my head now.

Doubt is a great film in my opinion, one which depends greatly on the talent of the cast involved, and I think the whole cast was incredible. The suspense regarding Aloysius' doubts about Father Flynn's innocence not only remains unsolved, but Meryl Streep's performance begs the viewer to ask if perhaps it is sister Aloysius' cynicism which needs to be questioned.
