How many times have you seen some YouTube smart aleck repurposing Hitler's "Downfall" meltdown for comedic purposes? Not as many times as "Downfall" director Oliver Hirschbiegel, and he says "you couldn't get a better compliment as a director."

"Vendetta" Team Took Over Kidman's "Invasion"?
Seems like we've been hearing about upcoming sci-fi flick "The Invasion" for a pretty long time now. You know the one: It's the fourth adaptation of Jack Finney's "The Body Snatchers." Directed by "Downfall" helmer Oliver Hirschbiegel, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. Remember that one?

Kidman Earns a Hefty Payday for WB's "Invasion"
Nicole Kidman will earn about $16 million to star in WB's new science fiction thriller "Invasion," says Variety. Originally planned as (yet) another remake of Jack Finney's classic "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," the WB project will now go into production as an "original screenplay" and under the directorial reins of Oliver Hirschbiegel ("Das Experiment").
