I wouldnt be concerned with the acting, i mean this is a DragonBall Z movie. All i know is that the CGI better be on point because in the end thats whats gonna attract the audience.

I'm very scared for this movie...VERY SCARED

When I heard they weren't going to make the Dragon Ball Z movie about four years ago, I was happy because I knew that without the latest technology, it would look, quite frankly, ridiculous.

Now what is scaring me is whether this is going to turn out looking like a better budgeted power rangers or if it'll have a credible mature look like what they did with Transformers. Let's not forget that they make the plot seem more serious. Honestly, I would have wanted to see a darker and mature take on Dragon Ball Z.

The mention of wigs scares me already...no offense but the last thing I want to see is a DBZ version of the Japanese Sailor moon action TV-series (http://hicbc.com/tv/sailormoon/)

Ok, to all the people bashing this movie because the anime was poorly produced.... the manga, of which the anime is adapted, was made at the same time as the anime. Thats why you get 20 min of posturing before a fight, and things like the Garlic Jr. Saga which never occured in the manga but which was used as filler till the next volume got started.

You could easily do a movie of one saga at a time and streamline the dialogue and fights to fit in 2-2 1/2 hrs. If they were smart they would stay with the original material, do a little prologue of the Dragonball part of the series and start of with the Vegeta saga, but smart writers arent what it looks like were getting here...

And that is ultimately why this movie is going to fail is most people in the west remember the overdone, overdrawn out anime(imo it was still awesome to see animated) and not the manga, which few fans ever bothered to read.

Im going to remain optimistic but im not getting my hopes up.
