Movie Info

The Greek production Dracos would have been twice as interesting at half the length. The hero is a mild-mannered bank clerk who happens to resemble a notorious criminal. Mistaken time and again for the crook, the clerk becomes intrigued by his look-alike's dangerous but glamorous lifestyle. He finds himself being drawn into the Underworld, with hilarious and ultimately startling results. The same basic story, with a different denouement, was utilized in the John Ford-Edward G. Robinson collaboration The Whole Town's Talking. Dracos was one of Greece's entries in the 1956 Venice Film Festival. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovimore
