Daniel Craig does everything to dispel comparisons to Stanley Kubrick's The Shining with a finely tuned performance, but the film flattens as it tries to explain his character's psychological state.
I liked it, though admittedly in a minority along with 36% of viewers. This site increasingly highlights the irrelevancy of the reviewers who are increasingly populist, self indulgent and out of touch with what audiences actually think. A 30% rating disparity between reviewers and audiences goes beyond credible margins of error and blunders into incompetence.
