I commented on another post as well...but I would challenge anyone who enjoys classic British comics, good sci-fi and action combos...to at least give this movie a chance.
The reviewer indicates that it is unimaginative...it does indeed find itself in a cliche plot...but it uses this to its strength rather than its detriment.
Again, skip the critics and give it a chance. It stands on its own legs and was excellent in my opinion.

This movie blew my mind, it was like an actual hooker went in my brain and was blowing it the whole time, friggin amazing, and as for plot, heres your plot, badass goes into building, gets stuck in building, pretty much kills everyone in sight with amazing jaw dropping gore and awe moments, any critic who dislikes this film, should not be a critic, as far as action films go, this was the most amazing film i have ever seen, truly amazing and impossible to beat, unless there is a sequel, then oh my god i might have to wear a bib to keep from drooling on myself when i go see it, because this movie was AMAZING and is what an r rated action film should be, not cutting corners, no boring moments, just wtf is gonna happen next, and before i could finish that thought, more guts was flying, it just keeps getting better and better, and unimaginative? this movie was so imaginative and awe inspiring i felt high the whole time, and i was sober. a must see. dont be hatin, it was the best action film EVER. cant wait for the sequel.
I hate when people show up to class and raise their hands to answer the prompt when they've never read the material- this was an excellent film which pleased many of the Dredd comic book fans- This movie portrayed a more darker adaptation than the Stallone version and maintained the action-packed material we always see in the comics. The critic shouldn't even review this movie because he doesn't know what hes talking about
