Critic Review - San Francisco Chronicle

Mainstream audiences will probably be confounded by "Drive," while lovers of gritty filmmaking will defend every exaggerated shotgun wound as art. Know which camp you're in before you enter the theater.

Terrible film. If you want to watch people get wasted with a shotgun, pick up a horror flick. This movie is just stupid. They should pay you to watch this.....not the other way around.

As the reviewer said, this film is not for idiots with low taste and low opinions. You have proven him entirely correct. Did you really log in here just to show the world how stupid you are?

I work at a movie theater, and every night people come out of this movie frustrated and angry, telling me how much they hated it. I'm not a fan of the style, but I can appreciate how well done it was. But yeah, most people will hate it.

Bronson, Valhalla Rising, Drive.... Brilliant director. People have a hard time catching the flow of this one because it's not the usual pacing for a film and it doesn't work for a lot of the microwave-I-want-it-now generation. It's a different beast and that jars people. It's brilliant and I'll see it again, at least one more time before I have to wait to buy it on DVD.
