DUSTY'S TRAIL was producer Sherwood Schwartz's little-seen follow-up to his popular 1960s television sitcom GILLIGAN'S ISLAND. Bob Denver reprised that series' bumbling protagonist with the equally inept Dusty, an assistant stagecoach driver in the Wild Wild West whose incompetence results in his team being separated from the rest of the wagon train. Together with main driver Callahan (Forrest Tucker), wealthy aristocrats Mr. and Mrs. Brookhaven (Ivor Francis and Lynn Wood), sultry saloon dancer Lulu (Jeannine Riley), wholesome schoolmarm Betsy (Lori Saunders), and all-around everyman Andy (Bill Cort)--sound familiar?--Dusty must figure out a way to get the wagon back on trail to California. This collection offers 17 of the 26 episodes from the western comedy series' first and only season. [More]
