THE SUNBEAM is another tenement tale, as some impish children inadvertently unite a bachelor and spinster under false quarantine. In THE PAINTED LADY, a young woman faces off against a burglar. THE BATTLE OF ELDERBRUSH GULCH is a rousing western replete with drunken Indians and a last-minute cavalry rescue. THE BURGLAR'S DILEMMA chronicles the framing of a burglar for murder. In ONE IS BUSINESS, THE OTHER CRIME, two couples, married on the same day, go different routes--one into burglary and one into big business--with the moral ground between them becoming hard to define.
