Critics Consensus: Easy A and The Town Are Certified Fresh
SummaryThis week at the movies, we've got a would-be harlot (Easy A, starring Emma Stone and Stanley Tucci); some Beantown bank robbers (The Town, starring Ben Affleck and Jon Hamm); wandering wolves (Alpha and Omega, with voice work by Justin Long and Hayden Panettiere); and a satanic elevator (Devil, starring Chris Messina & Geoffrey Arend). Critics say Easy A benefits greatly from the presence of Emma Stone, who helps to elevate this John Hughes-esque comedy with her natural comic instincts. The pundits say the Certified Fresh The Town is proof (if any were needed) that Affleck is a strong director, and he gets memorable performances out of Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall, Jeremy Renner, and others in a strong crime procedural. Hm... I really want to see the Town, and yeah, I like Ben Affleck, I'm definately gonna check that one out. MAYBE, Easy A, it looks funny, and I really like Emma Stone, Devil looks good, but based on it not beeing screened for critics.....I think I will wait for the consensus. And finally Alpha and Omega. That movie looks so awful that all I'm going to say is: NO.

people may actually see Devil, because Last Airbender made 130 million more then The Expendables! even tho airbender sucked so awfullyyyyy, it almost ruined the show for me. so maybe ppl will take a chance on it hopefully and hopefully it doesn't suck, or else it's all over for M. Night...

yeah i really hope devil is good for shamylan's sake too. My tomatomter guess is 26% though, i'm guessing the acting won't be that great.

Well, Armond White DID give The Town a scathing review... so obviously, it should be next on our lists of movies to see (on a side note, whatever you do, DO NOT actually go and read Trollmond's article. The hideous beast lurks under its bridge... Site traffic feeds it... Trollmond hungers for your clicks...)
Now to wait and see what it says about Devil, and whether or not we should(n't) see it.
