Eat Pray Love ... [hits] its target demographic right between the eyes, but in the same way that a self-help book may appeal to thousands, it will never be great literature.

So true! It is very lacking and does not leave any deepened understanding, or anything inspiring, edifying, or worth aspiring to (as great literature or films would tend to do).
