Eat Pray Love is a two hour and fifteen minute ad for being rich; it's a smug, patronising travelogue that -- despite its already apt title -- could have also been called First World Problems: The Movie.
I could not agree more. How arrogant and selfish to think that you can find happiness by being selfish. It is serving all of the needy and poor people that would bring her happiness, yet she totally "misses the boat" because she is a typical self-centered American woman who is discontent and never thinks she has enough, meanwhile not noticing all those who have so much less. I love your comment. p.s. I am an American woman myself, but I am appalled by most and their attitude problems.
