The pure malevolence of the movie has to be appreciated on some level (not even one of the family pets lives to see daylight).

'Eight Legged Freaks is drive-in-flavored arachnid anarchy...[a]cinematic fun ride where creepy-crawly things constantly pop out from off-screen.'

A gem of a movie - a genuine "eww-gross" schlockhorror that's also a great send-up for fans of '50s B-movies.

Eight Legged Freaks is a rare creature feature that actually suffers when the filmmakers try to make the human characters more like the genuine articles.

Nice special effects with creepy spiders, but it ultimately is much like the creatures: lots of long legs, but no body.

As befits its title, this PG-13-rated piffle is ultimately as threatening as the Snuggle Fabric Softener bear.

It's PG-13 rating forced directors to soft-peddle the carnage that giant spiders are capable of, and in the end it leaves you feeling less than satisfied.

...if you're just in the mood for a fun -- but bad -- movie, you might want to catch Freaks as a matinee.

A parody of 50's sci-fi/horror movies that still takes itself seriously enough to be good creepy fun.

I liked the movie, but I know I would have liked it more if it had just gone that one step further. I'm left slightly disappointed that it didn't.

This do not take-me-serious B-film is played as a limp tribute to the 1950s mutant bug films such as Them!.

Lilo and Stitch boasts a gag based on Earth Vs. the Spider and nails the quaint charm of the genre better than Eight Legged Freaks does in 90 minutes

This film has the right idea, but the spiders should have attacked a Wal-Mart Supercenter.
