Ellen DeGeneres stars as the title character, a kooky bookstore owner whose irreverent nature always manages to land her in trouble. Her friends Adam (Arye Gross) and Paige (Joely Fisher) add to the chaos, as does fellow worker Joe (David Anthony Higgins). In this season, Ellen can't seem to meet a guy to date, appears on AMERICAN GLADIATORS, tries her luck as a fitness guru, and ends up in more hot water than most folks experience in their entire lives!
