It delivers slam-bang action for the genre's fans -- as long as they're also willing to put up with a strong dose of corny movie logic and lots of pseudo-religious posturing.

Reviews for End of Days
With endless violence and gratuitous sex, End of Days has something to offend everyone.
Schwarzenegger fans will probably be pleased, action lovers won't be bored, and the Catholic League will be angry. Everyone else will see End of Days for what it is: a deliciously bad motion picture.
Hyams overloads the film with action sequences that aren't particularly thrilling, horrific scenes that aren't very scary and dramatic moments (including one with Schwarzenegger crying!) that aren't even slightly moving.
This film is like an overflowing pot of how to make a bad movie stew.
Full of sound and fury, signifying absolutely nothing, End of Days is the loudest and least of the year's end-of-the-world movies.
Let us be sustained by the knowledge that in just 38 more days, all this millennium nonsense will be over.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's latest vehicle, End of Days, is such a witless, bombastic, by-the-numbers hunk of millennial hooey it made me nostalgic for Commando.
