Summary

The Avengers. The Dark Knight Rises. Skyfall. There were plenty of highly-anticipated, critically acclaimed films that wowed moviegoers this year. But you know all about that stuff already, so we at RT decided to give some love to a few of the overlooked, underappreciated, and, in some cases, critically dismissed movies that made an impression on us. I completely agree about Michael Pena in End of Watch. He was phenomenal.

Dredd is extremely overrated by the tomato meter if you ask me. It's not a bad movie but it's really not a good one either. It was just a faithful adaptation of an action comic book. It was just so straight forward and basic, when people talk about the movie it's as though they placed too much meaning on a slow motion gun fight.

End of Watch was overlooked? It was number one at Box Office and everyone knows about this movie. Not even talking about the fact that it was a 3/5 at best.

This means war was really aweful. I saw it on a plane, and it made the plane food taste good in comparison.

@Luke Goodsell, "What can I say, I love comedies about messed-up, unpleasant people -- and the more messed-up and unpleasant the better, as far as I'm concerned". If that's the case, you should read Malice in Blunderland, may not be a movie, but still it's worth a shout...

It wont, it's this years "Waiting for Superman" A harsh and brutal truth the academy and all its board members would rather ignore.
