George Clooney leads an impressive cast--including Julianna Margulies, Laura Innes, Anthony Edwards, and Eriq La Salle--in this fourth season of drama from the Emergency Room at Chicago's County General Hospital. The season begins with a documentary crew descending on the hospital, and Dr. Elizabeth Corday (Alex Kingston) joining the regular team of doctors in the unit. Always looking for new and innovative ways of bringing the show to the screen, the ER production team decided to shoot the first episode live, and the cast performed it twice; once for the East Coast and once for the West Coast (the West Coast version is included here). As the 21 episodes of this season unfold, all the hectic tension of a regular Emergency Room is energetically captured on camera, with cast regular Anthony Edwards among the directors this time around (on an episode titled "Of Past Regret and Future Fear").
