Movie Info

Sushmita, a young woman from India, falls in love with an Afghani. Being a dutiful wife, she follows him home to a village near Kabul. What starts out as a promising, blissful marriage ends in hardship as Sushmita begins to feel the yoke of the Taliban. Trapped in what soon becomes a loveless, controlling marriage, Sushmita resolves to escape the clutches of the Taliban. Based on a true story.
