Aussies Are Upset Over "Eucalyptus"
The indefinite postponement of "Eucalyptus," a mid-budget film that was to star Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman, is being described as a blow to the Australian film industry, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Because of the postponement, 80 crew members are without work, and the town in New South Wales where shooting was to take place will lose business because of canceled accommodations.

"Eucalyptus" Halts Production Indefinitely
The filming of "Eucalyptus," starring Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe, has been indefinitely postponed, Variety reports. Fox Searchlight announced the delay days before shooting was to begin, citing "the screenplay is not where we need it to be."

Kidman Bows Out of The Producers
Citing a scheduling conflict, Nicole Kidman has bowed out of Mel Brooks' big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical "The Producers." Her rep tells Variety that she "wouldn't have enough time to rehearse the intricate song and dance routines in 'The Producers' before she heads into her next film, the Oz-set 'Eucalyptus,' opposite fellow Aussies Russell Crowe and Geoffrey Rush."
