This review should be amended and changed to positive. The NY Times included "The Exorcist" on its list of the 1000 Greatest Movies.

And yes, Vincent Canby hated everything. He didn't even like Patton, Night of the Living Dead (1968 George Romero version), The Godfather Part II, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Rocky, Alien, The Empire Strikes Back OR Return of the Jedi, A Christmas Story (who doesn't like A Christmas Story??), John Carpenter's The Thing etc.

This guy really is a bad critic. I swear he hates every film, he gave Empire Strikes Back, Alien, Rocky, The Godfather 2, Night of the Living Dead, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, Blazing Saddles all rotten review where anyone who was seen them would know they are all amazing films.

Why do NY Times keep putting up old reviews? It's really pointless... This should be removed and replaced with an up to date review. Along with others (Godfather, Alien, Empire Strikes Back Etc)
Especially because this film is included in the NY Times best movies list!
