Audience Reviews for Explozia (The Poseidon Explosion)
This Movie is from the Grindhouse Experience 20 Film Collection Volume 1, Not sure if this collection is still on the market as I don't see it on Amazon. This film is based on true events that happen in the 1970 near Galati, Romania. The film also was nominated for the Golden Award at the 1973 Moscow International Film Festival . About a ship that is carrying ammonia nitrate, Fuel, and Oxygen Tanks which could result in an explosion much like the Texas City 1942 explosion where many could be killed. This is same material used in the Oklahoma Bombing. But a group of local people, firefighters, harbor police, and military do what they can to put the fire out. Remember it's a 1973 Romania Film, considering all of that, the action and the story line is enough to award this film 4 stars.More
