jsmccune writes: on Oct 18 2005 01:13 PM How about we stop with these damned asian horror flicks -- the 1st one or 2 were novel, but subsequent ones are retreads in their own right. (Reply to this) |

Unlike The Grudge and Dark Water and even The Eye, the Pang Brothers aspired to make something pretty original here... and nearly succedded... hopefully the writer will be able to pick up on that. This story could be amazing if done right. (Reply to this) |

lavatory love machine writes: on Oct 18 2005 11:13 PM the eye is good but standard, is a mix of the six sense and the mothman prophecies, is not very original, which is unusual for an asian horror flick the eye 2 is pretty crappy, maybe they're are so despertly in need of ideas than even bad ones will do (Reply to this) |

The Senhman writes: on Oct 19 2005 01:25 AM In reply to this comment (#826844) Yeah, "The Eye" is pretty much a remake of "The Sixth Sense." Funny how Hollywood is remaking another country's remake of their stuff. (Reply to this) |

stonedoghk writes: on May 15 2006 04:44 AM I've seen both the Asian version of The Eye & the Eye 2...(though not the recent Eye 3 yet). Actually, my ex (along with his twin bro) has a small speaking part in Eye2 as star Shu Qi's swimming coaches. Directors The Pang Bros cast him because they are also twins and thought it might be fun to give her 2 instructors instead of one. Anyway, I'm curious who will play the character(s) in the US remake.
