Godmother of the Pinky Violence genre of Japanese films, this is quite legitimately good, with most of the salaciousness and violence all in the last third. Respectable.

For a Pinky Violence movie (admittedly one of the first) there wasn't as much sleaze as the later ones had. Female Demon Ohyaku is pretty much a straight up revenge tale. The first half hour is great (the opening scene alone...), the second act is pretty weak but when Ohyaku finally gets her revenge the good times
