Critic Review - TIME Magazine

Despite a lovely cameo turn by Burt Lancaster, Field of Dreams is the male weepie at its wussiest.

Are you even serious? What the...? Don't need this guy's opinion affecting the tomatometer. One of the great movies of our generation.

Yeah, I respect this critic, but think he missed on this one. I found this flick a lot of fun, and didn't shed a tear. Lancaster was an amazing cameo, and James Earl Jones was terrific.

This was Corliss' review of "The Descendants" last year: "I'm a notorious softie, and I found things to like about the film, most particularly Clooney's performance; but I remained untouched."

Are you a hard a$$ (LOL), calling out films for being "male weepies", or are you a "notorious softie"? Make up your mind.

My guess is that you cried like a little girl in the final scene, and then wrote your ridiculous review to feel more like a "man".

Movie reviewers crack me the hell up.
