5 stars to an excellent theme, story and character driven film, aided by really breathtaking visuals, wit, and a sumptuous Tom Newman score. 3D is an unjustifiable bastardisation.

Pixar's epic oceanic adventure is a classic for a reason - every scene either gives us a memorable character or a memorable action sequence, often both at the same time. Its pretty much overflowing (no pun intended) with creativity and heart.

Re-releasing a movie in 3D is one of, if not the dumbest gimmick Hollywood has going right now. However, that doesn't affect the movie. Finding Nemo was first released in 2003 and I recall my mom taking me and mt brothers to go see it the day it opened. I haven't really seen much of the movie since then, but now I've seen it again and I've come to realize how great it is. It's about an over-protective clown fish named Marlin who is afraid of anything 10 feet away from his home and he loses his son, Nemo, to some divers and now he has to go out of his comfort zone to rescue him. Along the way he meets up with a lot of likable characters. One of those characters is a fish named Dory and she has short-term memory loss. Dory is easily the most fun character in the movie. She's gullible and her memory sucks, but she's optimistic and loyal to Marlin. I think that one of the best things the movie has going for it is the range of characters in the movie. There are fish-loving sharks and really laid back turtles who show up as the movie progresses and those two are just to name a few. Pretty much every character in the movie is funny in their own way. The humor in the movie is spot on. There are jokes that will have both kids and adults laughing, not because there are some innapropriate jokes that adults will get and they'll just fly over the kids heads, but because the jokes are subtle and they're not aimed at just one age group. Also, the voice actors in the movie are all fantastic. Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Willem Dafoe are just a few of the voice actors who do their job well. Even the kid voicing Nemo was really good. Normally with kid actors they sound like they're reading off cue cards, but the kid in this sounded natural and convincing. As normal with Pixar standards, the animation is perfect and you can't really expect any less from them. As the movie goes along, the characters develop and it all reaches the peak of emotion. The opening scene alone is full of emotion just like the ending scene. It's really about a father-son relationship and the type of dedication family shows to eachother. Finding Nemo is one of Pixar's greatest films and I'm really glad I rewatched the movie. If you like Pixar, then you'll love this movie. If you just enjoy animation movie in general, then you will enjoy this movie a lot. Everything about it is great, the animation, voice acting, humor, characters, and emotion. Watch this movie if you want to forget about Pixar making the Cars movies.

Possibly Pixar's best film aside from 'Up' and the 'Toy Story' trilogy. The film illustrates a side of the ocean and it's populated creatures with a strategic storyline and formidable plot. Every emotion is just as crisp as the detailed-CGI work. A perfect film for the family. 4.5/5

'Finding Nemo'. A superbly imagined underwater world, and a simple, but universal message of letting go. Ellen DeGeneres' voice acting as Dory and the trio of fish-loving sharks were the two standouts for me!

One of Pixar's best efforts by far. Jammed packed with great characters, top-notch voice-acting, and memorable scenes. Did I mention this movie is also hilarious, Dory's short-term memory quirk is a hoot.

I have always enjoyed Pixar films since first seeing Toy Story when first released. Since then, the studio has always made great family films with great gags and lots of charm to appeal to people of all ages. Finding Nemo is lots of fun from start to finish. Brilliantly animated, Finding Nemo is yet another solid Pixar film that will definitely appeal to viewers of all ages. The story is lots of fun and filled with many laughs. I very much enjoyed the film, and felt it was among Pixar's best. Although I much preferred Toy Story, Finding Nemo is still a great film in the Pixar Catalogue. The cast give great performances and they all bring something terrific to the table to make this film special. Finding Nermo is another memorable film in Pixar's catalogue of great films. This film is well crafted and is witty, charming and like I previously stated, fun. The direction is well done, and the directors have a good eye of how to create an effective film that people of all ages can enjoy. The film is almost perfect, aside from a few minor flaws. Even with that said, this is a Pixar film, and I haven't seen a film by this studio that was bad. This is simply put a well made adventure comedy that is almost impossible to dislike. Sure it has it faults, but there are plenty of good elements at work here to really make Finding Nemo stand out. A must watch for Pixar fans. This film is truly engaging entertainment.

Pixar's take on a underwater life is a cliched film made for children. This is nothing special and hardly offers anything original or inventive. Subject matter definetly has more potential than director/co-writer Andrew Stanton and Pixar's team can pull off. Finding Nemo is a film that finds it's strenght in more emotional scenes like the surprisingly brave opening that will most likely even disturb the tiniest in the family. There are also couple of interesting characters that has more depth than other, but there are too many that ends up just being annoying, like Dory the fish. Surprisingly film's best part is Nemo's father's journey through the sea. Other storyline including Nemo is clearly much weaker and does not work that well. Finding Nemo might be technically fine work but like many of Pixar's overrated work it does not live up to all the hype.

Finding Nemo is one of Pixars best films, and is a all time classic. After losinghis wife years ago, Marlin the clown fish loses his son, he meets a blue fish named Dory who have brain memory loss, they must travel the ocean in search for his son Nemo, who makes friends with a group of tank fish in a dentist office in Sydney, Australia. The voice actors are funny, emotional, and kind and truly set the right mood for this movie. The plots is a amzing journey and has taught me so much about the ocean that I still use to this day. The animation is great, recreating hundreds of shish, humans, and much more. One of the greatest animated films ever made.

When it comes down to film animation, there are two main types: Hand drawn and computer graphics. In the realm of computer graphics, there is only one supreme leader in that field and it goes by the name of Pixar. Ever sense the release of TOY STORY, Pixar has been able to create films that can touch on the thoughts of both children and adults by offering an innocent story to kids while have a deep, satirical meaning with inside jokes that the adults and older kids in the audience will enjoy. FINDING NEMO, arguably Pixar's most well known film, creates a wonderful hybrid of themes for both audiences while not sticking to one particular while still telling a well written story. In terms of direction, I am going to have to give it up for Andrew Stanton who worked on this film. For computer animation, it is hard to direct a story where so much can go wrong, and only a few times it did. The few times is mostly the pacing for the film. At times, it is slow and should have just hurried up. Voice acting is, well, beyond better then expected or needed. In this film, you seriously get some of the best out there from first time voice actress Ellen DeGeneres to actors such as Willem DaFoe and Geoffrey Rush with a tad bit from Berry Humphries. They all do amazing jobs and it is a pleasure and chilling to start forgetting who is doing the voices and start relating them to their characters. Next we have the script. When writing scripts, it is hard to write one that is witty, smart, and humorous all at once. This is a script that had time put into it to be as well written as it was. Finally the score. One word: Outstanding. Well, all I have to say is this: It was Oscar nominated for best score. So, what does that tell you about the music? Overall, this is a gorgeous film that is supported by a well-written scripted and beyond wonderful vocal work with the only problem being the pace.

Another enjoyable Pixar film, with great characters and moralistic tale. The character of Dory is hilarious as the fish with a short term memory. A favourite amongst many and a great entertaining film for kids and grown ups alike.
