Metafact writes: on Jun 05 2007 01:31 AM What a perfect pairing... Seriously, after seeing the hilariously over-the-top gorefest of a trailer for this film (I especially love how he prays to Jesus before slaughtering people), I can't think of a better distributor than Lionsgate. This is the same studio that brought us the Saw series, Hostel, American Psycho, House of 1000 Corpses, High Tension, Santa's Slay, and Captivity. John Rambo could end up being one of those "so bad it's good" films. (Reply to this) |

frogleg writes: on Jun 05 2007 05:45 AM My first thought was how the trailer for John Rambo has more gore than a lot of horror films, so I agree that this seems perfect. (Reply to this) |

Defmonkey writes: on Jun 05 2007 06:40 AM In reply to this comment (#867957) Hey, American Psycho was actually good IMO. And in Hostel theres like 30 minutes of T&A..... Thats not all that bad is it??? (Reply to this) |

Metafact writes: on Jun 05 2007 07:03 AM In reply to this comment (#867960) American Psycho was very good but it wasn't exactly Bambi, if you know what I mean, and neither is John Rambo. (Reply to this) |

EdRoy1 writes: on Jun 05 2007 09:33 AM In reply to this comment (#867958) Sylvester Stallone has created a new movie genre: ACTION HORROR (Reply to this) |

arendr writes: on Jun 05 2007 09:59 AM This definitely looks like a guilty pleasure movie. I wasn't expecting all that hardcore gore in the trailer. (Reply to this) |

cgcbooks writes: on Jun 05 2007 10:04 AM In reply to this comment (#867962) That's what "Aliens" was. (Reply to this) |

EdRoy1 writes: on Jun 05 2007 10:23 AM In reply to this comment (#867964) "Aliens" was just horror, or maybe horror-thriller... (Reply to this) |

cabezone writes: on Jun 05 2007 10:43 AM In reply to this comment (#867963) That's because it isn't an official trailer. That was something Stallone put together for a film festival. I expect the real trailers to be much mroe tame. (Reply to this) |

EdRoy1 writes: on Jun 05 2007 11:12 AM In reply to this comment (#867966) I hope Rambo 4 is just like the trailer and rated NC-17...it would make several hundred million if Stallone had the balls to do that. That trailer got tons of hits on UTube and around 2000 comments the last time I looked...people were going apeshirt over it (Reply to this) |

unbreakable_samurai writes: on Jun 05 2007 12:24 PM Way to go Lionsgate with another smart pick up, The Spirit and now this, not bad at all. (Reply to this) |

SplendidIsolation writes: on Jun 05 2007 01:51 PM God I love LIONSGATE. Truly truly great studio. Also wasn`t American Psycho a Universal Pictures movie? (Reply to this) |
|
Metafact writes: on Jun 05 2007 02:04 PM In reply to this comment (#867969) Nope, that was all Lionsgate. Which gives you even more reason to love them, I guess. (Reply to this) |
|
SplendidIsolation writes: on Jun 05 2007 03:10 PM In reply to this comment (#867970) Well it must have been Universal who rolled out the DVD. Says universal on the box. And yes, this gives me one more reason to jack off to the LIONSGATE logo. (Reply to this) |

taran72 writes: on Jun 05 2007 03:41 PM I too must chime in on one of the most unintentionally hilarious trailers ever witnessed. I'll probably wait until video, unless I can get a designated driver to help me to the theater and by me kettle corn. Classic. (Reply to this) |

Mr. Kong writes: on Jun 05 2007 06:54 PM I think this is good news. Why do I think this is good news? Because if I see the Lionsgate logo during the previews when i go to the theaters, it won't defenitley be for some crappy horror movie. (Reply to this) |

GreenBastard writes: on Jun 05 2007 06:58 PM Comon, this movie is gona be awsome! Sly is goin out with a bang. The new Rocky was awsome and I don't think he'll mess this up, it's probably his last shot. All of us action fans owe it to one of cinema's greats to go out and see this movie! What a legend. The preview was damn rough and badly edited I cant wait to see the finished product! It looked like old school Rambo crossed with Saving Private Ryan. (Reply to this) |

Young Turk writes: on Jun 06 2007 09:21 AM After this there can be a remake of Cobra...anyone else agree???? (Reply to this) |

JUDGE DREDD writes: on Jun 06 2007 01:38 PM I want STALLONE to be the star of PREDATOR 3, Stallone is the only true match for Arnie in an action role, and Predator 3, would be awsome if Sly rounded it off into a trilogy! (Reply to this) |
|
GreenBastard writes: on Jun 06 2007 03:33 PM No way, Sly's to good to do Arnie's left overs! I loved Cobra!!!!!!! Yeah a Cobra remake would be awsome!!!! Thet don't make good old action movie's like that anymore, the critics would crap all over it but I bet the fans would love it! He messed around with stuff like Arthur, Copland etc, and now it looks like he realises everybody wants the old Stallone back! (Reply to this) |
