Synopsis: Julianna (Jenna Mattison) decides to spice up her life after leaving her husband, Danny (Brad Rowe), in director Brian Austin Green's charming FISH WITHOUT A BICYCLE. After making the split,... Julianna (Jenna Mattison) decides to spice up her life after leaving her husband, Danny (Brad Rowe), in director Brian Austin Green's charming FISH WITHOUT A BICYCLE. After making the split, Julianna furthers her acting career by landing a lead role in a play. She makes romantic headway with the play's director, Michael (Bryan Callen), and her life seems to be on the fast-track to success. But as Michael finds less and less time for his new love, Julianna's best friend attemts to lure her into the LA dating scene, and fellow actor Ben (a role for which director Green assumes acting duties) tries to woo her, without much luck. The film builds to a neatly satisfying conclusion, with Green delivering some salient lessons for his unfortunate main character, as well as plenty of laughs along the way. [More]

The script is truly schizophrenic, either painfully naïve or pointedly shocking.

Not only does it take a solid thirty to forty minutes before the audience grows to like any of the characters or even care about Jules’s situations, but one ends up more interested in the lives of Danny, Michael, and Ben.

Although not exactly original in its aspirations or execution, the film's engaging performances and occasional funny moments lift it a notch above the pack of similarly themed fare.
