Movie Info

Music legend John Peel makes a cameo in this tale of murder and rock 'n' roll based on Jonathan Coe's bestseller The Dwarves of Death. Bored with his life in affluent Macclesfield, ambitious rocker William Small (Max Beesley) brings his band the Alaska Factory to London for a shot at the big time. Striving to record a hit while putting his in the hands of a volatile producer best known for his work with a 70s' punk band, William makes ends meet playing piano in a local shopping mall. It's there that he falls for the beautiful Madeline (Valentina Cervi). When William sees Madeline in the arms of another man (Sean Pertwee), he rebounds by romancing pretty barmaid Karla (Anastasia Hille). Romance turns out to be the least of William's worries, however, when he sees a pair of hooded dwarves slay a fellow musician, and realizes he will have to get out of town fast if he wants to avoid becoming their next victim. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovimore
