Movie Info

One of the most successful bands in rock history, Fleetwood Mac has also had one of the most tumultuous histories of any ensemble. Destiny Rules is a documentary that attempts to capture the band as it was in 2001 when they began work on a new album and then set out to tour in support of the record. The directors were given almost total access to the band during this time period.

Audience Reviews for Fleetwood Mac: Destiny Rules

A great fly on the wall documentary as Mac reunite to record their 'Say You Will' album. This is all handheld footage and shows the band warts and all as they argue about what should be included and who should mix the album. A great insight into how the album was created (it looks like it was more of a Buckingham solo album with Nicks coming in towards the end with some songs and adding backing vocals to his songs) and made me want to listen to the album straight after. Interestingly it appears that it was going to be a double album before cutting back to a single which means that there's loads of Mac tunes out there that still haven't been released. What's taking them so long to bring out more material?
