After seeing Flight for the second time, the first with a girlfriend and not telling my husband about it as he wanted to see it, and the second with him, I so agree with your review. Denzel is riviting and his story, yes, it's been done before with addiction issues, is gripping. You can feel his pain and his denial that he has a problem until he finds out that one of his co workers died in that horrific and terrifying plane crash. Twelve minutes of one of the most intense scenes ever filmed and Zemeckis nailed it. Missing? Tom Hanks could have been Charlie even though Greenwood was terrific.
