Execellent thriller about Jodie who loses her daughter on board a flight. No one believes her. An unusual role for Sean Bean.

This is the right kind of movie for Jodie Foster to do her thing. Cause she's good at this. It was pretty interesting...But it's the kind of movie where you kind of don't wanna find out what have happened. Cause the secret is more exciting than the truth. But it was a good movie. And I'm glad I saw it

Just plain awful. A movie so absurd that you end up thinking who to blame for such a horrible script. Ending in this film just do not make any sense. Avoid at any cost!

Although Flightplan is a highly predictable film, Jodie Foster gives a good performance, which keeps you glued throughout, just sit back and enjoy.

Atmosphere, tension, and acting are what make this an enjoyable, above average thriller. Paying too much attention to plot holes, contrivances, and that sort of thing will only ruin the movie. Just sit back, turn your brain off for 95 minutes, and enjoy the ride- it's much better that way. Oh yeah, while it does borrow quite a bit of elements from The Lady Vanishes, it's not a total ripoff or remake.

Flightplan is an intense thriller with a very good cast. Starring Jodie Foster as an aircraft designer, she boards a plane that she designed with her daughter. She falls asleep and discovers her daughter is missing. She must now prove that she isn't crazy and that she boarded the plane with her daughter. Flightplan has effective plot twists throughout and it keeps you guessing till the end. The cast deliver great performances, and Flightplan is an engrossing thriller. The story is well developed and I was surprised at how good the film was. The reason that this film works so well is because of the solid performance delivered by Jodie Foster. Flightplan is not a perfect film, but it does manage to deliver enough thrills for the viewer to forget its imperfections. The film leaves you on the edge of your seat constantly Flightplan is a good film with a good cast and an effective story that keeps you interested in the film. Not a perfect film, however it's still very much entertaining, and the cast here do a fine job at delivering good performances. As far as thrillers are concerned, this film is a good enough film to give you the thrills that you want from the genre. The films imperfections are minimal, and the acting and story development more than makes up for it. This is a good film with plenty of entertaining edge of you seat moments.

Has its ups and downs. Could have been better, if it didn't become so farfetched as certain points.

I'll start off by stating the absolute bottom line: There is not a single moment in this film that even remotely fails to thrill. Taking many of its plot elements and themes from Alfred Hitchcock's early British thriller THE LADY VANISHES, this 2005 Jodie Foster film is truly brilliant. Just imagine FLIGHTPLAN as a roller coaster ride...except on a plane. If you want to know the truth, that's precisely what it is: a high-speed, full-blast thrill ride, peppered at the best moments with twists, turns, and loops in the plot--or plots; whichever is preferable. In fact, FLIGHTPLAN is almost as memorable as THE LADY VANISHES is itself.

Despite a solid performance from Foster and Skarsgard, the film is lacking overall. Full review later.

Jodie Foster plays the role of the protective mother quite well. This movie has us doubting Jodie's sanity while she struggles to figure out what is going on.

Amazing, I saw it a second time a year after I first watched it, and I totally forgot who the bad guy(s) were. Still only a mediocre movie in my eyes.

Despite the storyline being somewhat of a stretch, the film is a fantastic thriller with some interesting twists. Jodie Foster's performance keeps you gripped until the very end.

Out of all the films that have been labeled "Hitchockian", "Flightplan" is one that actually fits the bill, housing many of the director's sensibilities. While it's never as thrilling or inventive as Alfred Hitchcock's pictures, Robert Schwentke does a fine job of creating a tense atmosphere. "Flightplan" is slickly shot and Jodie Foster, as the wronged woman, plays her part effectively. Unfortunately, the story is just not exciting enough to truly, deeply, entertain. While the visual skill and Foster's performance make "Flightplan" worth seeing, it's not something terribly memorable.

Not much happens here. I always enjoy Foster's performances with her self-interruptions of quiet, emotional lines, and there are moments in the typical-action-movie ending when she is quite bad-ass (which makes me look forward to The Brave One). But the film's plot is rather predictable, and there is little in the way of profundity, which transcends action/thriller cliche. Additionally, I'm sure there's plenty in here that a real airplane designer would object to; much of the set looked unreal and too spacious compared to any plane I've had the misfortune of being on.

Hitchcockian Thriller At 30,000 Feet. Jodie Foster transfixes in this Alfred Hitchcock style mystery set on a claustrophobic plane. A slightly above average thriller.

It was more than salvageable, and I believe that they did not quite get it, but I give them props for trying!

While I did not think about putting this on my "Movies I can't finish watching" list, I have to say it came close. It came very close when the whole stereotyping issue with Middle-Eastern plane passengers surfaced, but the problem is that I like Foster a lot, and I'm always hoping that she can pull even the weakest movie back from the abyss. And to a certain extent she did do this, providing an acting intensity that helped overcome what really is a pretty flimsy plot. Sarsgaard is always a waste of space, so I was hoping Bean would have the larger part. No such luck. Foster was fighting both a lousy plot and Sarsgaard's dead weight, and I must say she didn't get much help from the hardly seen, very wooden Sean Bean. Unless you really really really love to see Jodie Foster, you should probably save yourself the time and energy of watching this one.

I can watch this Movie bunch of times. It is just an Awesome Movie with a Twisting end. It also shows sometimes it is good to be paranoid. When watched for the first time after she turns histerical I began thinking oh geez she is on crack and somewhere in a Mental Hospital, you know I thought I figured out it was Movie like Gothika, I was wrong. AWESOME.
