It's one thing watching a science fiction movie with its clutch of exotic creatures, but it's quite another watching a documentary in IMAX 3D that puts us within touching distance of a flying pterosaur the size of a giraffe 220 million yeas ago

It wasn't all that long ago that this sort of short, lightly scientific, flashy documentary was pretty much all you could see at Imax cinemas. Now they are used fill up the gaps between the likes of Sucker Punch and Avatar.
