Critic Review - Film.com

It's the stuff of real life, and of high drama, but Dean Wright's directorial debut translates little of that latter quality to the screen.

Surprising someone could write this when the audience I sat with didn't leave their seats until the credits were complete. Some leaving in tears they were moved so much by the film.

The audience had a different reaction. Very moving and emotional movie. The audience matters, not the so-called "critics."

Willy Goss - you couldn'y even give it credit for subject matter in this time of peril for religous freedom?

I love how threatened people are by the bad reviews that this film has been receiving that they have to post the same comments time and time again. Yes, I'm sure in Catholic communities this movie got rave reactions as the Passion did, but you can't simply chalk up the negative reviews as pointing to anything other than critique of bad cienma,

And no Wallace, there is no peril for religious freedom in the case of Catholics and Christians, although both love playing victim even when faced with virtually no persecution. Obama is simply taking a harsher stance with the prelates of the Vatican. They took notice of this and rushed the production of this propaganda piece. Mexico, as well, has had the dignity to take a stand against Vatican pressures. They're scared, and they should be. The reality of the Cristeros War is not shown by For Greater Glory. For many in Mexico, the Cristeros were little more than Catholic Taliban.

Typical ignorant biased response from a know-nothing. The Mexican governmet executed priests on trumped up charges giving rise to rightful rebellion. Check out Padre Pro for example. The Obama admin is mandating Christian religions part with their beliefs in favor of government rules. If they get away with that they will also mandate abortion. Everyone unbeliever less than 40 years old knows they were a choice of convenience and millions of others got a thumbs down. No wonder they are angry. If you think this is solving a population problem you are
'dead" wrong as being proven in China.

You either lie through your teeth like the media or just simply uneducated, do your research before you say something you know absolutely nothing about. I already had an idea of the comments or rating you guys would give this movie and I was right, what a shame you don't know a good movie when you see one!!

Clearly a liberal site here. Only zombies and snow white will thrive in this "forum". A bunch of critics who know nothing of movie making...just talkers. Stumbled on this poor site. Excellent movie....sorry but Hispanic viewers can actually appreciate and be motivated by greatness....you can have your fiction.
