Jackie Chan / Jet Li Movie to Begin Shooting in April
Jet Li fans will definitely want to check out this excellent article about the actor / martial arts master that was written for SFGate.com. The piece focuses mainly on the man's previous films (and this week's "Fearless"), but it also drops a little hint on the highly-anticipated collaboration between Li and Jackie Chan...
The entire article makes for a solid read, but the passage that stuck out to me was this one: "It's not his last action film -- he just wrapped "Rogue," co-starring Jason Statham -- and it's not his last Chinese film, as he is prepping for a long-awaited teaming with Jackie Chan in a project that is scheduled to begin shooting in April."
Early buzz indicates that "Journey to the West" will be directed by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King), but who knows how accurate those early rumblings are? All we know is that Jet Li and Jackie Chan will soon be appearing in the same movie -- and that's exciting enough for me.

Foomanchu writes: on Sep 19 2006 11:27 AM Aren't they billing it as his last *epic* martial arts film (in the same vein of Once Upon a Time in China, or, Hero, etc.)? He might have been contractually obligated with those movies and now he's ready to for some good ol' fashioned American martial arts movies--perhaps an updated version of Game of Death?
