on Sep 18 2007 02:32 PM In reply to this comment (#1133467) It obviously wouldn't be a sequel to the events of the first film, it would be a new story that follows the same plot. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Sep 18 2007 04:29 PM When I read this, I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. Granted, I really liked Freddy vs. Jason, but if this movie is made, that means EVERY horror movie ever made will start getting remade. It will eventually get to really old stuff, like Frankenstein and Creature from the Black(?) Lagoon. Halloween was step one. If step two is made through Fiday the 13th, the stampede begins... on Sep 18 2007 05:09 PM Actually a NEW remake of Frankenstein or Creature from the Black Lagoon wouldn't be half bad. With new technolgy today "Creature" would be kick ***. Dracula they did with Gary Oldman and it was really good. Mary Shelly's Frankenstien with DeNiro was ok, it's been a while since I've seen it. BUT "Remakes" have been around a while. THE FLY with Goldblum which was really good. Problem is they {STUDIOS} are handing these classic horror films over to people who don't have a good script, cast,CLUE as to what they should do with the material in hand. People critized Gus Van Zant when he did PSYCHO I liked it, it was true to the original with a "little" twist here and there. DAWN of the DEAD was NOT a remake but a Re-imagining which I liked it as well but ROMERO's is untouchable. It would have been better to try and follow ROMERO's script, make it like that then it would been better as a "remake". HOUSE OF WAX was a joke cool FX though. TEXAS CHAINSAW remake was good though different NO PROBLEM there. It has got to be writer's block with some of these REMAKES. HEY HERES AN IDEA ... something original.... I have a great Idea for a horror movie that would make going to the movies what JAWS did for swimming. BUT I am not a writer. ANYway thats my rant/rave/opinion PEACE , GOD BLESS AMERICA bring home the troops... RUSTEDSOUL (Reply to this) |

on Sep 18 2007 08:56 PM I'm down... since I am a fan of the friday the 13th's, and jason x is probably on my list of worst movies ever... and the remake is definitely not going to be about the mom... just an obvious fact (Reply to this) |

on Sep 21 2007 08:21 PM This is the beginning of the end people, first Texas Chainsaw, then Black Christmas, Halloween and now Friday the 13th. I have a few questions for Bay. Are you gonna turn Friday the 13th into another Armageddon remake??? If so, you don't deserve to be called a Director. What can he add to this movie. Sean S. Cunningham already used a Mario Bavish style for the first film, then Steve Miner just stole all of Bava's ideas for his ****ty sequels. Next will be a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Sep 22 2007 05:08 PM Remakes IMO: 'The Thing', the best remake ever. 'The Fly' Great, cult classic. 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' Terible, dreadful. 'TCM: The Beginning' What the fu... sucked terribly! 'The Blob' Mmmm, had its moments, but very bad none-the-less. 'The Hills Have Eyes', Actually quite fair, I enjoyed it. 'HHE 2' Worst film this year so far. 'Halloween', RZ dissapoints big time, major suckage. 'Black Christmas', one of the worst films ever? 'Dawn of the Dead', Like the first HHE- I thought it was decent, not bad, but not great either. 'Friday the 13th', destined to be doomed... Before we know it, 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' will become a victim of the remake fever. We may also have a horrid 'Halloween 2'... (Reply to this) |

on Dec 26 2007 06:10 PM In reply to this comment (#1133421) oh canuck. we get it. you dont like people dying on screen. you are a bug whiny little *****. noone is sick in the head for seeing people getting mutilated on screen. its a movie. we as adults can distinguish between reality and fiction. and these sort of films are exciting to watch as they evoke feelings of FEAR in us because what we are seeing is HORRIBLE. its like the same reason u ride a rollercoaster. its scary. "lets make a film where noone dies" buddy why dont you go sit in a preschool where you seem to belong. stay in your safe little bubble and shut up. and try not to insult people you dont know by calling them sick in the head. loser.
