Synopsis: Tina (Lar Park Lincoln), a telekinetic mental patient, travels back to Crystal Lake for some therapy that will allow her to transcend the tragic death of her father--whom she inadvertently killed... Tina (Lar Park Lincoln), a telekinetic mental patient, travels back to Crystal Lake for some therapy that will allow her to transcend the tragic death of her father--whom she inadvertently killed with her mental powers. While staying at the campsite, Tint inadvertently frees Jason from his watery tomb with the same powers, and the masked madman proceeds to make chop suey out of the countryside and all its inhabitants. Is Tina strong enough to close the Pandora's box? This unusual entry in the gory series was directed by John Carl Buechler, better know for his makeup effects work in films such as GHOULIES (1984) and RE-ANIMATOR (1985). [More]

The anxieties suffered by Tina throughout the film are well thought-out by the franchise’s typically one-dimensional standards.

turns out to be all swing and no follow-through, essentially wasting an interesting premise on tepid writing, bad acting, silly characters, and mediocre direction

Goodness knows the writer, director and actors didn't expend much effort. We won't bother mentioning that the acting and dialogue are atrocious, like they always are.

When a hardcore Friday the 13th fan tells you that a particular entry is a piece of junk, you should probably listen.

Sort of Jason meets Carrie outing that's about on par with the rest of the silly series.
