The Japanese animated tale, FUSHIGI YUGI, based on the comic book (manga) by Yuu Watase, follows the adventures of Miaka and Yui, two schoolgirls who become trapped in a kingdom which is written about in a magic book called The Universe of the Four Gods. With danger at every turn, Miaka and Yui must do anything they can to find their way home, but their responsibilities as important kingdom leaders often sidetrack them from returning to their former lives. In these seven episodes, Miaka accepts her role as a priestess of the patron God Suzaku. When she's not tracking down the celestial warriors, Miaka is trying to figure out how to repair her relationship with Yui, who is enraged at Miaka because she believes Miaka abandoned her when she was attacked. Yui plans to hurt Miaka by seducing her boyfriend Tomahome, whom she has taken hostage. [More]
