Sometime in the distant future, humans crisscross the cosmos on an unusual transportation system comprised of flying trains and protected by an elite guard known as the Space Defense Force (SDF). The SDF's newest recruit is Manabu Yuuki, a brash teenager whose father and brother lost their lives working on the railways' most prestigious fleet, the Big One. Now Manabu finds himself going against his grieving mother's wishes to fend off train accidents, terrorist bombings, and alien attacks on the Big One with the help of his stern commander, a resentful assistant officer, a sexy android, a beautiful tomboy, and a mysterious psychic who oversees the entire Galaxy Railways. Deftly sustaining an aura of fantasy and wonder amid its action sequences, the sci-fi anime kicks off with this first volume of episodes. [More]
