Sasahara starts his first day of college not... The anime comedy GENSHIKEN finds humor and pathos in the lives of the regular otaku (anime fans), some of which might very well be watching the show. Sasahara starts his first day of college not knowing a soul, and decides to join a club and meet some friends. But he carries with him a horrible secret: he is obsessed with "nerdy" hobbies like anime and video games! Luckily he encounters the club called Genshiken, which is dedicated to manga and anime, and whose members are much like Sasahara himself. GENSHIKEN follows Sasahara and his new friends as they struggle with their outcast social status while finding pleasure and humor in the world of manga and anime. VOLUME ONE collects the first four episodes of the anime series. [More]
