The lead joke was an old joke of Carlin; he had told it on a few previous HBO specials. The entire abortion bit was offensive, but even more, it wasn't funny. It seems like it is just playing to the audience.

Love the Beacon Theatre. I have great memories of that place. The recording of this show was a marked improvement over his earlier specials.

Only Carlin can pull off fart jokes. Then he examined familiar expressions. Carlin is a thinking man's comedian.
